Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME universal TLD is the single TLD meant for personal web pages only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are famous by. Initially, only 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you desired to reserve john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already purchased 3rd-level domains remained active.

Through our firm, you can obtain your dot NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to switch the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer key from the current domain service provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been finished. There are no particular conditions on who can register a .NAME domain, but in order to maintain the idea behind its establishment alive, the Registry may check who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.
