A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a given email mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. To put it differently, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any mistyped email address under the very same domain name, you will receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be crucial in case you are running a business, for example. Since you may start receiving junk email messages, you can use the catch-all feature with email filters in order to get only legitimate messages in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

In case you host a domain on our cloud platform and you’ve got a shared hosting account, you’ll be able to enable the catch-all feature for any e-mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section offers quite a few functions, but it’s exceptionally intuitive, so creating a catch-all mailbox requires just one single mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be shown in this section in alphabetical order and you will just need to click on the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the particular email address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or pick another mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as easy and requires yet another mouse click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all option can be activated without effort in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll notice a small sign conveniently located right next to each of them. With only a click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and enable this option using the context menu that will come into view. If any of the requirements for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will notify you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
